Troy Romero is a first term conservative Republican from Jeff Davis Parish representing District 37 in Southwest Louisiana. He is married to Emily Romero, and they have 7 children and 7 grandchildren.

Troy owns Sports Turf Specialist, LLC and Sports Turf South, LLC. He is a general contractor who specializes in building natural grass sports and athletic fields. He credits his business background for his fiscally conservative approach to good government.
