Tony Bacala is a second term State Representative from District 59 in Ascension Parish who serves on the Administration of Criminal Justice, Appropriations, and the Retirement committees.

Prior to serving his district in the House of Representatives, Tony served as a law enforcement officer with multiple roles within the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office. His 37 year law enforcement career began as a night shift patrolman while he attended LSU where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He later served as a detective, a detective supervisor, retired as the Chief Deputy.

In addition to his criminal enforcement duties, Tony acted as the Sheriff's Office chief financial officer, a member of the Board of Directors of the Sales and Use Tax Authority, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Industrial Development Board of Ascension.

Tony is an active member of the Gonzales Rotary Club, the Louisiana Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates, the NRA, and is a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church.
