About Thomas

State Representative - District 6

Thomas Pressly is in his first term serving as the state representative for House District 6, which includes portions of Shreveport and Bossier City. He serves on the House’s civil law, health and welfare and judiciary committees and is a member of the Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee and Medicaid Estimating Conference.

 

Thomas is an alumnus of TCU, where he served as student body president, and Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Following law school, Pressly returned home to Shreveport and served as a law clerk to United States District Court Judge S. Maurice Hicks in the Western District of Louisiana. He has served as the President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Shreveport Bar Association, Chairman of the Young Professionals of Community Renewal International, a board member of the Robinson Film Center, and on the Board of Visitors of the John V. Roach Honors College at TCU.

 

He currently practices civil litigation with the law firm Pettiette, Armand, Dunkelman, Woodley, Byrd & Cromwell, LLP in Shreveport, Louisiana.
