Butler, Rhonda.JPG

State Representative - District 38

In 2020, Rhonda Butler was the first Republican woman in history to get elected in District 38. She is a conservative Republican dedicated to serving her people and supporting polices to limit government, rein in spending, and spur economic development in our rural communities.

In 2003, Rhonda and her husband started their commercial and residential tree service business, which now serves over 75 ZIP codes and electric companies across Louisiana. Their business has recently expanded to include Butler Environmental. Butler Environmental uses by-products to produce firewood bundles, railroad crossties, specialty lumber, pallets, and compost. Their business growth has resulted in more rural jobs in District 38.

Rhonda, being a special needs mother, has been a driving force for and author of legislation supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities. She has become a strong voice to protect their welfare and way of life while also voting for and pushing conservative policy with her colleagues.
