About Larry

State Representative - District 74

Larry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from LSU Medical Center in 1985 and then obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University in 1992. Larry practiced as a physical therapist in orthopedics and sports medicine for seven years prior to beginning his practice of law. He has been practicing as a defense attorney for the past 28 years in the areas of workers’ compensation, auto liability, and premises liability. He has served as an ad hoc workers’ compensation judge in District 1W and as an ad hoc judge in First City Court in New Orleans. 

In October 2019, Larry was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives, District 74, representing St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington Parishes.  He a member of the Labor & Industrial Relations, Civil Law & Procedure, and Insurance Committees. He is a member of the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation, Northshore Delegation, and Louisiana Rural Caucus.

During the 2021 Regular Session, Larry was instrumental in the formation of the Louisiana Conservative Caucus in the House of Representatives. He currently serves as the first term Vice-Chairman.
