About Jack
State Representative - District 13
In 2015, Jack McFarland became the first Republican elected from his district to serve in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Since that time, he has been a consistent and outspoken advocate for conservative policies and leaders within the Louisiana House of Representatives.
His business roots go back to 1997 when he took on the risk of starting a trucking company to serve the timber industry. In 1999, his business expanded to form McFarland Timber. Throughout the years, he and his wife have owned and invested in multiple businesses ranging from dry cleaners to a drug testing service.
In the legislature, Jack is focused on responsibly down-sizing government spending, conservative tax policies, and growing rural job opportunities.
